I'm trying to decide between the 5060 Ti 16GB and the 7700 XT for my build. I'm aiming for something future-proof that can run games at 2K 60fps and competitive titles at 2K 144fps. Both GPUs are priced around $630 CAD, which is within my budget. I've also considered the 7600 XT at $450 CAD and the 7800 XT at $720 CAD. For my CPU, I'm planning to get the 9600X, though I'm not sure if it's worth it to spend an extra $100 for the 9700X. Any advice?

I'd recommend going for the 5060 Ti 16GB. I just bought it myself and I'm also pairing it with the 9600X. What motherboard do you have in mind to use with it?
Honestly, there's no contest here. The 5060 Ti is superior across the board compared to the 7700 XT—just go for it.
Is the 7800 XT really going for that much these days? I snagged mine for $450 last year!
You might want to wait a few weeks for the AMD 9060; it could potentially outpace both of the options you're looking at.
I was in a similar spot, and I noticed the 7700 XT is about $80 cheaper where I live. Given that I have a 5600X, I might choose the 7700 XT, but honestly, if they were the same price, I'd lean towards the 5060 Ti for its 16GB of RAM. Both cards perform well, though.
