I'm building a PC primarily for 3D rendering, video editing, graphic design, and some gaming. I'm a bit torn about which CPU to select. I was initially interested in the Intel Core i5 Ultra 245K, but its performance core count is much lower than the i7 models (like the 12700K, 13700K, and 14700K). Given that tasks such as rendering and editing are CPU-heavy and benefit from more performance cores, I'm wondering if that core advantage of the i7s translates into a significant productivity boost over the Ultra series. Would the i5 Ultra 245K suffice for professional-level creative work, or should I opt for an i7 instead? Additionally, which i7 option would you recommend for long-term performance and value? Also, if you could, please suggest a balanced build (CPU, motherboard, GPU, RAM, storage, etc.) that fits a mid-to-high budget for my use case. Thanks a lot!

If you're deciding based on core counts for creative tasks, the i7 might make a more comfortable choice as it offers more performance cores. But if you’re looking for a build recommendation, definitely consider going with an AM5 platform for better future-proofing. That way, you can avoid Intel’s heating issues that have popped up with their newer generations.
I'd steer clear of Intel right now and go for an AMD Ryzen 9000 series CPU like the 9800X3D or 9950. AMD has caught up and even surpassed Intel in many areas, plus their CPUs tend to run cooler and require less aggressive cooling solutions. For your creative work, AMD's offerings just make more sense considering your needs.
Exactly! If you're into rendering and editing, AMD has the edge, and their platform is generally easier to cool compared to Intel's recent generations.
