Choosing the Right GPU for My First PC Build

Hey everyone! I'm a beginner building my first PC and could use some help deciding on a GPU. I have a budget of IDR 9,000,000 (around $549 USD) for the entire build, but I'd prefer to spend less if possible. My goal is to run games at 1080p since that's the resolution of my monitor. I'm torn between spending more for a future-proof build or just going for the cheapest option now and upgrading later. Right now, I'm considering these GPUs:

1. RX 6500 XT for $124 (IDR 2,042,500)
2. RX 6600 for $213 (IDR 3,500,000)
3. RTX 5050 for $262 (IDR 4,300,000) or B580 at the same price
4. RX 9060 XT 8GB for $323 (IDR 5,300,000) - the 16GB version is out of my budget.

What do you think would give me the best value? I'm open to other suggestions too! Thanks in advance!

I'd go with the RX 9060 XT if you can swing it. It's a really solid card for the price and will definitely give you some future-proofing. Just keep in mind it might be worth checking for used options to save money!

From a performance standpoint, the B580 could be a good choice, but you might have issues with drivers on Linux, which is something to consider. If you’re looking for longevity, the RX 6600 could still handle games well for a year or two, even if you need to dial down some settings. Just keep researching its Linux compatibility if you lean towards it!

Yeah, I was considering the B580 too for its performance, but the driver support on Linux seems a bit shaky. Do you really think the 6600 can manage well for the next couple of years?
