Hey everyone! I'm looking to buy a Gigabyte Aero RTX 5070 to pair with a Ryzen 7 7700. I found a PSU that fits my budget and comes in white, the Gigabyte P650SS 650W 80+ Silver. Here are the specs for the PSU: it's an Intel Form Factor ATX 12V v3.0 compatible with ATX 3.1, and it has two PCI-e 6+2 Pin connectors.
My question is: since the minimum PSU requirement for the RTX 5070 is also 650W ATX 3.1, will this PSU work if I use a 12V-2x6 to 2x PCIe 8-pin adapter for the GPU? Just to clarify, I'm not planning on overclocking either my CPU or GPU, so I want to make sure everything will be fine!

It should work fine! I personally like to have a bit of extra wattage—around 100W more than the minimum spec—to ensure stability and a little overhead for potential future upgrades. But if you're not overclocking, your setup should be good to go with that PSU!

But I’m more concerned about the adapter—will it hold up without melting or anything?
