I was gaming last night when my computer suddenly crashed without any error message or blue screen. I tried to restart it, but it wouldn't respond at all. After unplugging and plugging the power cable back in, it finally turned on. I decided to shut it down for the night, but when I woke up, it was back to shutting down again. I managed to perform checks on the RAM and the thermal performance, and everything seemed fine. Initially, I thought the power supply unit (PSU) was the problem, so I replaced it, but unfortunately that didn't solve the issue. Now, it either won't turn on or if it does, it shuts down immediately. I suspect the motherboard might be faulty. Any suggestions? Here are my system specs: Intel Core i5-13600K, RTX 4070 Super, MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk motherboard, 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4, Corsair RM850 PSU.

It sounds like your computer might be overheating. Make sure to check the thermals of your CPU and GPU while gaming. Sometimes even if they seem fine at idle, they can spike under load. You might want to reapply thermal paste on your CPU and ensure your cooling system is working well.
If you're still having issues, consider cleaning out any dust from your case and fans, as that can also lead to overheating. Just make sure to do it carefully to avoid any static damage.
You should definitely check the seating of your CPU and all power cables first. Loose connections often cause these kinds of shutdowns. Make sure everything is snug and secure.
I pulled everything apart last night and double-checked all cable connections and the CPU. They all seem good.
Another thing to consider is the RAM. How many sticks do you have? Testing them one by one can help narrow down if one is faulty. Also, updating your BIOS might be worth a shot if you haven’t done that yet.

My CPU is around 40°C at idle and 60°C while gaming, and the GPU is at 32°C idle and 50°C while gaming. Do you think that could indicate an issue?
