I recently built my PC and have been experiencing random power cuts in my area, so I'm in the market for an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). My total estimated wattage for the setup is around 465W, including my monitor. I want to know how much additional wattage I should account for when selecting a UPS. Ideally, I want it to keep my system running for about 3 to 5 minutes so I can save my work and safely shut down the PC. Any advice on what size UPS I should be looking for?

When choosing a UPS, it's important to check how long it can run at your expected load. For example, the APC Back-UPS 950VA can handle a load of up to 480W but only provides about 1 minute and 31 seconds of runtime at that load. Since you're looking for around 3 to 5 minutes, you'll need a larger unit, probably around 1200VA or more.
Make sure you add your PC Part Picker list in your post to give a better estimate of what you need. The 465W is your max load, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that’s what you’ll always draw from the wall. A UPS rated higher than your max load will give you more peace of mind.
