Considering a Dell PowerEdge R750xs – Is it a Good Buy?

Hey folks,

I'm thinking about purchasing a Dell EMC PowerEdge R750xs, which features a 24-bay chassis (2.5-inch), and some of the bays already have drives in them. Overall, the server is in good condition. I'm curious to know what a fair price would be for a second-hand unit like this. Any insights?

To give you a proper price, we’d need more specifics, like the RAM capacity, warranty info, and what you mean by "some drives populated". Prices for drives can vary greatly—some are budget-friendly while others can cost thousands. It might be helpful to check out closed listings on eBay for similar models to get a ballpark figure.

I get that! I think I’d describe it as a mid-range setup, possibly silver or even gold CPUs. Just a bit tricky since the seller isn’t very tech-savvy. I’m looking at getting this server along with two QNAP NAS devices for around $1,000 to $1,300.

I’d offer $1, but that’s just me joking! Good luck with your choice. Seriously though, figuring out exact pricing is key here.
