Considering a Switch to Linux but Worried About Game Compatibility

I'm really not a fan of the AI updates in Windows and I'm considering switching to Linux. However, I'm worried because a lot of games I enjoy, like Terraria and Tmodloader, don't seem to have support for the latest updates on Linux. Plus, I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'm concerned about how difficult it might be to use Linux on a daily basis. I've dabbled with PopOS before, but I'd appreciate any advice on making the transition smoothly. Thanks!

You can definitely run a lot of games on Linux, especially ones that don't have anti-cheat. It might take a bit of work, but with some research, you'll find ways to get mod loaders running too. Just be ready for a little project, and don't worry, it's usually doable!

Have you thought about dual booting? It lets you enjoy both worlds without committing fully to Linux just yet. It's a great way to see how you like it while still having Windows as a backup!

Yeah, dual booting seems like a solid idea. It lets you use Linux for everyday tasks while keeping Windows for gaming or anything that needs it!
