Should I Upgrade to a PC with TPM 2.0 for Gaming?

I'm wondering if I should sell my current PC and get one that supports TPM 2.0. I play games like League of Legends, Valorant, and the new Warzone, which all require SecureBoot and TPM 2.0. I've got a decent Steam library with games I can still play, but with the increasing demands for new titles, it's tempting to make a switch. Here are my specs: HP ProDesk 600 G1 TWR, Windows 11 Home, RTX 3050 6GB OC V2, i7-4790 3.6GHz, 32GB DDR3 RAM, 256GB SSD SU650, and 1TB SSD Samsung Evo 870. I can't upgrade my current setup beyond TPM 1.2, so do you think it's worth selling and investing in a TPM 2.0 enabled machine?

Honestly, any decent PC from the last few years will come with TPM 2.0. If you want to keep up with newer games, an upgrade is definitely advisable, especially if you can afford it.

So you're saying it's easier just to build a new one rather than fiddle with my current OEM setup? That’s a good point!

It sounds like you're leaning towards an upgrade, and honestly, that might be the best option given your gaming preferences. The newer titles you want to play are likely going to require TPM 2.0, so upgrading could really future-proof your setup.

Yeah, I'm thinking of selling mine for around $250 and putting that towards a nice TPM 2.0 build. Just gotta figure out the best financing option, haha.

Totally agree! If you’re looking to play big names like Valorant and Warzone, it might be time to consider selling your rig. With your current i7-4790, you're gonna face more compatibility issues down the line.

Exactly! I've been contemplating getting something like a GTX 1660 Ti or maybe even a straight-up new build compatible with TPM 2.0.

A lot of old CPUs might still run fine on Windows 10, so if you have that option, you could stick with it for a while longer while considering your next steps.

Funny enough, I just switched to Windows 11 and now I see everyone playing Warzone... definitely feeling a bit left out!
