Hi everyone! I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU in my PC, but I'm finding it struggles with more demanding games and tasks like video editing. I'm debating whether I should upgrade to an AM5 setup or just get a better AM4 CPU instead. Given that I already have 32GB of DDR4 RAM, I think sticking with an AM4 CPU might be the smarter option, especially with the current pricing of DDR5. I'm looking for recommendations on cost-effective CPUs in the $250 to $400 range that could enhance my performance. Any thoughts?

For a solid upgrade without breaking the bank, the Ryzen 5800X3D is around $400, but if you're looking for something more budget-friendly, the 5700X is available for about $150-200. Just a heads-up though, many of the 3D models for AM4 can be overpriced right now. But the performance boost could be worth it if you're gaming heavily!

Thanks for the info! I'm curious about the X3D chips—do you think the price difference is really justified based on actual gaming performance?
