I've run into a problem after a power outage. While my PC was idle, someone accidentally flipped the main circuit breaker, cutting power to everything, including my computer. When I turned my PC back on, it booted straight into the BIOS. I even did a full BIOS reset and tried switching the M.2 drive between different slots on the motherboard. Unfortunately, my M.2 drive doesn't seem to be detected anymore, while the other drives and slots are working just fine. I'm wondering if that sudden power loss could have actually killed my M.2 drive or if I might be overlooking something here.

Did you have your PC plugged directly into the wall or were you using a surge protector? It makes a difference!
Try a hard reset—unplug your PC for about a minute, plug it back in, and then power it on again. Sometimes that does the trick!
Yeah, that sudden power loss can definitely mess up components. You’re really lucky it’s just the drive, though. I had a friend who lost his motherboard and GPU from a similar situation.
