My New PC Won’t Boot with RAM Installed – Need Help!

I recently built a new PC but I'm running into a problem with the RAM. After turning it on, the yellow and red lights lit up. I decided to troubleshoot by removing the RAM and testing each stick one at a time. After a few minutes, the PC finally booted and I could access the BIOS with one stick. I figured it was just the RAM 'learning' process that AM5 boards have. However, when I added the second stick, it wouldn't boot again. I went back to the first stick and unfortunately, it didn't work this time either. I ended up buying new RAM and returned the previous ones, but the issue persists. Can anyone help me figure this out? Here are my specs: Viper Venom 32GB 6000, MSI B850 Gaming Plus WiFi, Ryzen 9800X3D, RTX 5070 Ti MSI Gaming Trio, MSI 1000W GS.

Make sure you're installing the RAM in the correct slots, commonly A2 and B2 for dual-channel configuration. Sometimes, just switching the sticks around can help. Have you tried that? It might be worth reseating the RAM just to ensure there's a good connection.

Yeah, I have tried that but even the first stick which booted once isn’t working now.

It's also possible your motherboard might be having issues with the RAM. Check for any BIOS updates or settings that might need tweaking. You might want to test the RAM in another computer if you can, just to rule out if the RAM is faulty, or even try a different motherboard if you have access to one.

I’ll look into getting a BIOS update. I really hope it’s not the motherboard!
