Could My GPU Be Dead?

I'm having an issue with my GPU where it loses power when idle and turns off. I didn't notice this right away, and when I finally restarted my PC, there was no display and the fans weren't spinning. However, the integrated graphics are working fine. I've already tried resetting the CMOS, reseating the GPU, and even reapplying thermal paste. Sometimes my GPU turns on, but other times it doesn't. I can tell there's power because the fan slightly moves when I start the PC. Here are my specs: R3 3200g, RX 570, Acer 550w 80+, Biostar A520mh, Lexar 2x8gb RAM, 500GB HDD, 500GB NVMe, and 250GB SATA SSD.

Yeah, it seems like your GPU might be broken. I noticed you didn't mention which GPU, but since you've said it's an RX 570, have you considered testing it in another system? That could help confirm if it's the GPU or something else.

Oops, I forgot to mention! It's the RX 570, and I have tried it in my old PC as well. It didn’t work there either, but sometimes after letting it sit for a day, it works again.

From what I found out, that Acer PSU is actually a rebranded Ramsta PSU, which is known to be pretty unreliable. It's likely that the PSU failed, and your GPU might still be okay since it didn’t get fried along with it.

My PC still turns on, but it switches to my integrated GPU instead.
