Could My GPU Be Failing?

I've been dealing with this frustrating issue for over a year now: all my monitors randomly lose their signal. I've tried a ton of solutions like testing each monitor with different cables, swapping out most of my components (except for the GPU, RAM, CPU, and storage), running stress tests, and updating every driver I can find. I even brought my PC to Microcenter, but they couldn't find any issues. Sometimes, after the signal loss, the fans start spinning really loudly, but usually they don't. I've monitored the temperatures, and everything seems fine there. The only way to get my displays back is by doing a hard restart. Just today, my screen flickered and showed weird white shapes before the signal loss occurred again, even before I could launch a game. Here's a link to what it looked like: https://imgur.com/a/gHDNNMe. Here's my build for reference: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XhTq2x.

Wow, a year of this must be super annoying! In my experience, similar issues were usually caused by bad HDMI or DisplayPort cables or even overheating. Just because your overall temps are okay doesn't mean something else isn't going haywire, like a thermal pad issue. If you plan on replacing it, maybe take a look inside to check things out before you do.

Yeah, it started happening a couple of months after I built it. After making some changes or bringing it to Microcenter, it worked fine for a while, but the problem always came back. This is the first time I've seen those weird artifacts on my screens, though.

First things first, make sure you have the right power connections going to your GPU. You definitely don’t want to skimp out on that!

I do have three non-daisy chained PCIe cables connected to the adapter.

From what you've described, it does sound like your GPU might be on its way out. I’d suggest testing the VRAM using a tool like OCCT to see if it’s failing.
