I was recently browsing a movie site and a couple of days later found my bank account locked. This has me worried that I might have inadvertently installed malware on my iPhone 16 running iOS 18.3.2, and there's no jailbreak involved. Is it possible for malware to get on my phone without downloading anything or allowing permissions? If I update and restart my phone, will it still be there? I haven't fallen for any phishing scams, so is it a wild coincidence or could it actually be malware? Any advice would be appreciated!

It’s really rare for malware to infect an iPhone just by browsing sites, especially if you have the latest updates installed. Most malware comes from downloading apps or files. So unless you did that, you’re probably in the clear!
I was using iOS 18.3.2, so just curious if it could be a crazy coincidence or not. I scanned the site with VirusTotal and it looked clean.
