Could My Mobile Data Issues Indicate a Hack?

I've been having some major issues with my mobile cellular data recently. A few days ago, it just stopped working out of the blue. After that, I contacted my network provider, and they informed me that my bill hadn't been paid. We settled that right away, but my data still isn't working. I called them again, and they suggested I change my SIM card, which I did, but it still didn't solve the problem. To make matters worse, the app shows that I have 0GB of data left, even though I just paid the bill. When I reached out again, the provider couldn't figure out what was wrong. I'm starting to worry that I might have some malware or a virus affecting my phone, but everything else seems fine. What should I do?

None of the symptoms you mentioned seem to point to hacking or malware. It's more likely just an issue with your provider, especially if you've been able to use everything else on your phone without problems. It might be worth following up with them to sort it out. Don’t stress too much about hacking!

Agreed! It’s easy to jump to conclusions, but this sounds like a provider issue. Just stay on top of them until it’s resolved.

I see, thanks! I got worried because I’ve seen people mention that unusual data usage is often a sign of hacking.

When did you pay your bill? If the service was disrupted for non-payment, there could be a delay in reactivating it even after paying. Also, make sure to reboot your phone after making changes like switching the SIM card. Sometimes a reboot helps establish the connection again.

I paid it on the same day my data went out, and it’s been 2-3 days. I’ve also restarted my phone multiple times.
