Could My Phone Have Been Hacked After Connecting to Bluetooth?

I recently connected my phone to a car speaker via Bluetooth and a cable to play some audio. Since then, I've noticed my phone's performance has dropped significantly. After a factory reset, I was browsing a post online and saw my control center unexpectedly swipe to a different post. This has led me to believe my phone might be hacked or compromised. I'm using iOS 26.1, and I'm really regretting connecting to that speaker.

Connecting to a Bluetooth speaker isn’t going to get you hacked. Trust me on this. It’s possible there’s something else going on, but it's unlikely it's a hack due to that connection.

But it wasn’t just Bluetooth; the connection was tricky, and I saw notifications pop up to download an app that I declined. Isn’t that a red flag?

Honestly, the latest iOS is super buggy. I’ve experienced random page refreshes if my finger stays on the screen too long, and my iPhone 15 Pro Max is getting really warm during video calls. You’re probably not hacked—just dealing with a flawed update. Let’s hope they fix it soon!

It’s way more likely that you're dealing with a touchscreen issue rather than a hack. Seriously, why would anyone bother trying to hack you?

I’m not so sure about that; my phone is pretty new, and I didn’t do any accidental long presses when I saw it swipe to another thread. I’ve got some odd family members who might want to mess with me, so I’m a bit paranoid.

Making hacking a common term was a terrible idea. It gives everyone a different level of paranoia!
