Could Using a Spotify Code Compromise My Security?

I recently got a Spotify premium access code for 6 months from an IT acquaintance. After registering with Spotify, my account became active, and I started using it on both my phones and my computer. I'm concerned if this could have somehow opened up access to my Gmail, WhatsApp, or even my camera and other apps on my devices. I haven't noticed anything unusual, but is it possible that someone could have compromised my devices through this? Thanks for any insights!

Just be a bit wary. While Spotify itself is generally safe, there are always risks when dealing with online codes. It's best to download any software directly from official sources.

Nai bhai, just enjoy your music! If you're worried, maybe run a virus scan on your devices as a precaution.

Honestly, I don't see how an activation code for Spotify could give you malware. People buy these codes from stores all the time, and a legitimate gift card wouldn’t have malware on it.

Nope, you should be fine! Spotify is a widely used app, and if it had major security issues, we would definitely be hearing about it. Just enjoy your music!
