Dealing with Lag on My Primary Monitor – FPS Seems Fine but Gameplay is Choppy

I'm having a pretty frustrating issue with game lag on titles like Nightreign and Overwatch 2. My FPS counter shows only minor drops, but the gameplay is extremely laggy. I also tested Minecraft with shaders and found the same problem on my primary monitor, which runs at 165Hz and 2560x1440 resolution. The games are in windowed mode, so I'm not sure if resolution is the issue. I've already tried turning vsync off but that didn't help. My setup includes an RTX 3070 8GB GPU, Ryzen 9 9900x CPU, and 64GB of DDR5 RAM, and temperatures are normal, hovering below around 80°C. I've even recorded a video showing the issue. Any ideas on how to fix this?

From what you've described, it might be worth checking your system settings too. Make sure your power settings are set to high performance and that nothing is limiting your GPU's performance.

Have you checked if both monitors are plugged into your GPU? It might help to ensure everything is connected properly—sometimes, these lag issues can be traced back to monitor connections.

Yeah, they are plugged in, but this lag issue is new for me. Never had this happen before.

Have you tried using DDU to uninstall your video card drivers and then reinstalling the latest version? A corrupt driver might be causing the lag, and a fresh installation could resolve the issue.
