Dealing with Neck Pain from Long Hours at the Computer

I've been an accelerated student for the last six months, spending 10 to 12 hours daily using my laptop and mouse. Recently, while trying to wash my hair, I've experienced a painful snapping sensation in my neck that seems to be connected to my collarbone. I'm wondering if anyone else has dealt with similar neck issues after long hours at the computer. Are there specific exercises or stretches that can help alleviate this mouse-related fatigue?

You should definitely look into proper ergonomic positioning at your workspace. Small changes like adjusting your chair height and mouse position can make a huge difference. If you’re hunching over your laptop, that’s likely contributing to your pain. Consider getting a proper setup!

It sounds like you might need to take this seriously and get some medical attention. Sitting for such long hours can lead to serious issues, so improving your posture and taking regular breaks is key. Don't push through the pain!

Honestly, I think you might need to see a doctor about this. It's better than risking a chronic injury. Sometimes resting is just as important as stretching; give your body a break for a bit. And take up some low-impact exercises like swimming or biking when you can!
