I've been struggling with a rendering issue on my gaming setup for about 10 to 11 months now, and I'm looking for some real solutions. Here's my setup:
- GPU: RX 7600 XT
- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600
- Monitor: Acer 1080p 180 Hz
- OS: Windows 10/11 (fully updated)
- Drivers: Always kept up to date
- Build date: December 2024
The problem is that every game I play looks jagged, pixelated, and aliased, regardless of the settings I use. Anti-aliasing seems to barely work or just fails to work properly, leading to shimmering edges and poor image quality. This issue appears in all games—old, new, DX11, DX12—no exceptions.
I've checked quite a bit already:
- Settings: Tried TAA, FXAA, SMAA—no improvement.
- HDMI cable: Swapped it out.
- Monitor: Tested extensively, same results.
- Software: Drivers updated and clean installed with no fixes.
- GPU: Resetted a few times, seated correctly.
- Power Supply: Everything appears fine.
- This issue has been there since I built the system.
- Planning to reinstall Windows, but I doubt it solves the underlying problem.
I suspect this might be a hardware issue, particularly with the GPU, as it's consistent across all titles and settings. I'm considering selling this GPU (with full disclosure) and switching to an Intel Arc B580 or a different card. Before taking that step, I want to test another GPU in my setup to be absolutely sure.
So I'm reaching out for help:
- Has anyone else experienced similar issues with anti-aliasing that could indicate a faulty GPU?
- Could there be other hardware causing this problem?
- Are there any specific tests I should run before replacing the GPU?
- Is there anything else I should double-check that might not be immediately obvious?
I've passed the basic troubleshooting stage and need insights that go deeper into hardware issues, rather than just driver updates. Thanks in advance for any assistance!

I get that 1080p can make aliasing more noticeable, however, it shouldn't be that bad. Which games are you experiencing this in? If you can share a video showing the aliasing, that would help understand your issue better!
Have you checked if HYPR-RX or Radeon Boost is enabled? Sometimes, those settings can interfere with how anti-aliasing works. It's worth a look!
It's on default but I've tried playing around with all sorts of settings in Adrenalin. No luck.
