Did I ruin my SSD while making it bootable?

I'm trying to install Windows 11 onto a 1TB Samsung T7 SSD to use as a boot drive for my Steam Deck. I followed a guide that recommended using Rufus to create a bootable drive, but since I don't have any Windows devices, I went with balenaEtcher instead. After completing the steps in Etcher, I noticed that my SSD's capacity shrank from 1TB to just 7.2GB. When I attempt to boot from it, it doesn't work. What could have gone wrong, and how can I fix this? I'm not very experienced with Linux or computers in general.

It seems like you accidentally used your SSD instead of a USB drive for the installation media. That's why you're seeing a small partition with just the install files. To fix this, start by deleting all partitions on your SSD to reclaim its full capacity. Then, make sure to use a USB drive for the Windows ISO instead.

I ran into a similar issue, but I managed to fix the capacity problem by formatting the drive. If you have a friend with a Windows PC, it’s a good idea to use their computer to set everything up properly. That should simplify the process!
