Nope, the GovCloud service wasn't affected at all. They operate with a separate control plane and are physically located in completely different areas than the commercial regions like us-east-1. So, there wasn't any impact from the outage.

While the IAM global control plane was impacted there, GovCloud has its own dedicated control plane, which means it wasn't affected. However, there could be indirect impacts if a third-party service had issues due to the outage, affecting GovCloud users indirectly.
