I'm putting together my new PC build with 10 fans in an NZXT H7 Flow case, and I'm debating whether I really need an external fan hub. The fans will be split between an AIO cooler with 3 fans on top, 3 bottom fans (that will rotate in reverse), 3 fans on the front/side, and 1 rear fan. I'm choosing between the Gigabyte X870 Aorus Elite and the ASUS ROG Strix B850-A Gaming WiFi. The Gigabyte has fan headers that support 2A, while the ASUS's headers are limited to 1A. I plan to daisy chain the RGB for better organization while using separate headers for PWM to control speeds in the BIOS. Is my plan sound, or am I missing something? Also, is the Gigabyte board better for this setup just because of its higher current rating?

You shouldn't worry too much about mixing daisy chaining for RGB and PWM. Generally, you can connect about 3-4 fans per PWM header without issue. I’ve even had 8 fans on a single ARGB header without any problems. Just keep an eye on how much power your fans draw since some are more intense with their lighting than others.

Glad to see you’re feeling more confident! If you're going with standard Corsair fans, you should be fine. For the groups you mentioned, just connect the bottom fans to one SYS_FAN header and the side fans to another. The ASUS's 1A headers should handle those groups well without overheating, but if you want to play it safe, the Gigabyte with 2A would give you more headroom.
