Hey everyone! I just upgraded my GPU from a 2070 Super to a 5070 Ti, and I previously upgraded my CPU as well. I'm a bit confused about whether I need to buy a new power supply, especially since I've seen mixed information on this. I currently have a Corsair TX-M Series TX850M power supply. Does anyone have advice on whether I need to switch it out for a new one? Thanks in advance for your help!

You don’t need to switch to a PSU that’s specifically designed for your new GPU. As long as your current PSU is working fine and has enough PCIe cables, you can use the adapter that comes with the graphics card. If you're worried about it, consider contacting the manufacturer for the right cable instead of buying something random online.
850W is generally more than enough for this type of upgrade. The 5070 Ti only requires slightly more power than the 2070 Super, so you should be good. If you're still worried about connections, rest assured that your GPU will come with the necessary adapters for the older PCIe cables.
You should be fine with your 850W PSU as it exceeds the requirements for the 5070 Ti. It’s better to have some extra wattage to ensure stability, but unless you have a particularly demanding setup (like multiple hard drives), your current PSU should handle it. Just make sure you have the right connectors or use the adapters that come with the GPU.
You’re all set with an 850W power supply since Nvidia recommends at least 750W for the 5070 Ti. Just double-check your cable situation; your new GPU should indeed come with any adapters you might need for compatibility, so you don’t have to purchase anything extra.
