Help! Can’t Access BIOS After Installing New SSD

I'm pretty new to tweaking my PC, and I just upgraded by replacing my old HDD with a Samsung 990 Pro 2TB SSD. I used Samsung Magician to transfer everything over without any hiccups. Now, the issue is that my computer continues to boot from the HDD (C:) instead of the new SSD (E:). I heard I need to change the boot order in the BIOS, but whenever I try to enter the BIOS by pressing the delete key on restart, all I get is a black screen with no display. If I let it boot normally, it just goes back to the HDD. I've also tried using the advanced restart option, but that leads to the same black screen. I'm really hoping someone can guide me on how to fix this!

If disconnecting the HDD doesn't do the trick and you get a boot error, you might need to fix the bootloader. You can create a recovery USB drive using the Windows download page, and then boot from it. Just make sure not to install Windows but to select the repair option instead. This can help you get things sorted out with the boot record.

You might want to try physically disconnecting the HDD by removing its SATA cable to see if that allows your system to boot from the SSD. Sometimes eliminating the old drive can help.

I tried that, but it didn't work for me. I still had no display on startup.
