I'm planning to run about 4-5 Ubuntu servers and I'm wondering if I should have an additional PC to monitor them and access them via SSH. Would that be a good practice? Do I need a third-party application or a GUI for monitoring, or can I manage everything just through SSH? So essentially, would it be 4-5 servers plus 1 client PC? Thanks in advance!

It's definitely useful to have some way to SSH into your servers. Using your current laptop should be fine, but if you want a more streamlined approach, consider installing something like Cockpit. It offers a nice UI and lets you manage everything in one place. Just try it out and if it doesn't suit your style, you can always stick with SSH!
I think it's a good idea to have a designated client device for managing your servers. Just having a PC to SSH into them can make things a lot easier, especially when you're running multiple servers. You might get more tailored advice if you check out the homelab communities; they have experienced users who can offer great tips!
