Hi everyone! I'm new to this whole Debian thing and I need some help. I'm trying to install Debian 13.3.0 using a 64-bit PC DVD-1 ISO that I downloaded from the official Debian website. The idea is that this version should work offline, but during the installation, it prompts me to connect to Wi-Fi. What's going on? Is it common to have to connect to the internet even with a full installation image? Also, I've heard installing offline could be tricky if I want to get the latest NVIDIA drivers. Any tips on whether that's a good idea?

I have the non-netinst ISO on a Ventoy setup too, and it let me install without needing to go online. As for the NVIDIA drivers, I opted to stick with Nouveau for a while after the install, and my performance was fine for general use. You can install the NVIDIA drivers afterward if you need them for gaming or graphics performance.
Make sure you're using the right ISO file. Sometimes people accidentally select the wrong one or the file doesn't get copied correctly to a USB stick. I typically use the net-install myself, but I get why you’d want the full image for offline use. Just verify everything you've got is correct!
I checked and I have the right one—"debian-13.3.0-amd64-DVD-1.iso". So it should work...
You shouldn't need an internet connection with the Debian-13.3.0-amd64-DVD-1.iso. If you're having issues, maybe try burning it with Rufus instead of Ventoy. Once you're done with the installation, you can always download and install the latest drivers later.
That's interesting! I’ll give Rufus a shot. Ventoy seemed to work for others, but I'm still stuck.

Does it make a difference if I use the graphical installer or the text-based one?
