Hey everyone! I'm planning to switch from Windows 11 to Linux Mint, and I have some questions about driver installation. I know I'll need to install my GPU driver, as well as drivers for my motherboard audio and LAN, but I'm confused about chipset drivers. I checked the AMD website but noticed that the Linux download section doesn't have chipset drivers listed. Can anyone explain why that is? Thanks a lot!

You actually don’t need to install any additional drivers! The Linux kernel already includes most drivers you would need out of the box. The only exceptions are often Nvidia graphics cards and some specific Wi-Fi chipsets. Just install Mint, and if everything works fine, you’re good to go!

Oh great, thanks! So does that mean I won't even need to get the latest GPU drivers separately? Also, will my hardware get updates when the OS gets updated?
