I accidentally got a little bit of the factory-installed cooling paste on my CPU smeared. Should I clean it off and apply my own cooling paste, or is it okay to leave it as is?

If it's just a tiny smear, you should be fine! But if a significant amount has been removed, it's better to redo it. If you’re in doubt, a quick reapplication won’t hurt and only takes a minute.
That’s true! A lot of people find it safer to just redo it, plus the cooling paste you apply yourself is often better quality than the factory stuff.
