Hey everyone! Last night, while I was playing a game on my ASUS TUF Gaming F15 laptop with the charger plugged in, it just randomly shut down. I've had it for about 5 years, so this was really unexpected. When I touched the bottom, it felt pretty hot. Now, I can't get it to turn back on, even after pressing the power button multiple times. Should I be concerned, or might it come back to life if I let it cool down overnight?

Yeah, definitely let it cool down for a bit! Just out of curiosity, did you hear the fans running before it went dark? That could give some clues about what happened.
It sounds like your AC adapter might be the culprit. If the battery drained completely, the laptop would have shut down. Try unplugging the AC adapter from both the wall and your laptop. Leave it unplugged for an hour or two, hold down the power button for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in to see if it turns on. If it doesn’t boot up, fingers crossed it’s just the adapter or battery and not something more serious like the motherboard.

I did hear the fans, but it was a sudden black screen—no shutdown sequence or anything.
