I just sold my old iPhone 11 after erasing all my data, including everything in the gallery and the recycle bin. I also performed a full reset of the device by erasing all content and settings. Now, the buyer is asking for the Apple ID password to unlock the phone, but I want to be sure that my data is safe. If I provide them with my password, will my information remain secure, or could there be any risks involved? Thanks for your help!

If you used the 'Erase All Content and Settings' option on your iPhone 11, your data is basically wiped out and can't be recovered. However, what the buyer is seeing is probably the Activation Lock still associated with your Apple ID. I wouldn't give them your password. Instead, go to iCloud and remove the device from your Apple ID. They'll be good to set it up without any issues, and your data will be safe.
Honestly, why would you even think to give your password to a stranger? It seems like you didn’t completely unlink the phone from your Apple account. Just head over to the iCloud website to remove it properly, and then it should unlock without needing your password.
I've unlinked the device already. Would giving them the password change anything?

I already removed the device from my Apple ID, but the password isn't working for them on the phone.
