I'm considering upgrading my GPU to a 7900 XT, but I'm worried about whether my current CPU, the Ryzen 5 5600X, will hold it back, especially for tasks that are heavy on rasterization. Here's my build: I've got a Ryzen 5 5600X, a Radeon RX 6750 XT, and a motherboard that's getting a bit dated (MSI B350 Tomahawk). I have 32 GB of DDR4 RAM, a decent power supply, and I'm running VR with an Oculus Rift S. I'm facing performance issues during sim racing, particularly when it dips under load, and I'm thinking of also getting a PSVR2 soon. If I upgrade to the 7900 XT, will the 5600X be a major bottleneck? Or can I stick with my current setup for another couple of years before needing to upgrade?

Yeah, the 5600X can do the job for a few more years. If you're concerned about bottlenecks, consider the 5700X3D—it could help minimize those issues without breaking the bank on a whole new system.
Make sure your power supply has enough cables and wattage for the new GPU! That's a key detail not to overlook when making this upgrade.
You should be fine with the 5600X for a while! While there's a chance it might bottleneck in some games, it should handle most situations pretty well for the time being.
Short answer, no. The 5600X isn't going to drastically limit you with the 7900 XT. Upgrade when you're ready, not just because you feel pressured to.
Awesome. Thank you that’s what I was hoping to hear!

Hell yes! Thanks for the input!
