Why is my RTX 5070 ti showing low GPU usage with AMD 9700x?

Hey everyone! I've recently built a PC using an AMD 9700x paired with an RTX 5070 ti, and I'm gaming at 1440p with 32GB of RAM running at 5600MHz. I'm really puzzled because I'm noticing very low GPU usage during my gameplay. Even though my CPU is hitting high clock speeds of about 5.3-5.5 GHz, it doesn't seem to be benefiting the GPU performance. I'm including some video links as well. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Just a reminder to check your power supply. Also, confirm that your monitor is connected to the GPU and not the motherboard. Sometimes, that can cause misreadings in performance and usage. Don’t overlook those basics!

Good call! I’ll double-check that connection. Thanks!

You're likely running into a CPU bottleneck because you're not using ray tracing or performance tweaks effectively. Cyberpunk can be demanding, even without RT, so switching to DLSS at native resolution and adjusting the CPU-heavy settings could help you better utilize your GPU.

It sounds like you might be facing a CPU bottleneck, especially in games like Cyberpunk. Try disabling DLSS's Performance mode, as that can limit GPU stress too. Also, tweak settings like crowd density or fog that are CPU-intensive and check if your GPU usage improves. If it does, then you’re likely CPU limited.
