Hey everyone! A few weeks ago, I upgraded my PC with an RX 590 Nitro+, but I didn't realize how much my Intel i5-6400 is bottlenecking it (maybe I'm just a beginner at this). I heard that getting a Ryzen 5 3600 could be a good upgrade. My question is about my motherboard—it's an old Gigabyte GA-H110M-DS2. Do I need to upgrade my motherboard as well, or is it just the CPU and GPU that matter?

Yeah, you'll definitely need a new motherboard if you're planning to switch to the Ryzen 5 3600. The current socket on your motherboard isn't compatible with that CPU. When you're looking for a new board, aim for one with a B450 or B550 chipset—they'll have the right support for the 3600.
Is there any CPU that could work with my current motherboard without bottlenecking my RX 590, or am I stuck upgrading both?
