Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a new rig and I'm looking for some feedback on my parts list. Since I'm transferring my NVMe drives from my current build, I have a specific question: Do I need to completely wipe the drives before installing them in the new PC, or can I handle that during the Windows installation? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

You probably don't need to wipe or reinstall Windows on your NVMe drives before using them in your new rig. It's actually recommended to start fresh with a new operating system when building a new PC, but you can wipe the drive during installation by deleting the old partitions. Just remember, this doesn't actually erase the data; it just removes the data map. A full reformat isn't necessary unless you prefer that option.
Just a heads up, it looks like you might be overpaying for some components! I found a similar parts list that saves you about $350 without sacrificing performance. You might want to check it out!

Thanks for pointing that out! If I were to go for air cooling, do you think the G.Skill Flare X5 64 GB RAM would be better for clearance? Also, I already bought the motherboard from a friend. I'm a bit confused about going for the new 4TB NVMe drive when I already own two drives. What's your take?
