I recently saw a discussion in a parenting group about tools claiming to bypass screen time restrictions on kids' devices, but some of these tools also advertise the ability to bypass corporate MDM settings. I'm hesitant to pay over $50 for what seems like a random piece of software, especially since it appears to be just a repeat of others with similar claims. I'm curious if anyone has tried these tools and if they really work, or if there's reason to worry about their potential to bypass restrictions on corporate devices. The specific software I've come across is called 'Tenorshare 4U,' but there are many others that look identical in description and website.

If you're really worried about these bypass tools, just get your own Mac. It's way easier to manage issues that way!
For iPhones and iPads, tools like Imazing can remove MDM and supervision from backups, which you can restore. However, devices enrolled in Apple Business Manager (ABM) are tough to bypass because ABM catches them early in the activation process. If a device doesn't use ABM, it could be more susceptible to hacks.
I’ve worked with MDM for a while, but there’s really not much that can get through once a device is enrolled with Apple Business Manager. Old methods might have worked on devices with physical SIMs, but now they usually just ask for AD credentials when you try to wipe them. For managed devices just set up through Apple Configurator and not ABM, maybe there’s a chance for those tools to have some effect?
Yeah, I’ve tested some of those sketchy services before for unblacklisting phones. They can be legit, so it’s good to be cautious.
Honestly, if this software really did what it claims, it would be exploiting a security flaw in iOS, and we all know Apple rewards big for those issues—up to $100,000! So my take? It's a scam. Save your money!
I don’t plan on spending money on it either, but wasn’t sure how deep the issue goes. Glad to hear from someone experienced.
This is spot on. Thanks for clarifying that—they really should put a warning on these scams!
Exactly! I wouldn't stress too much about it. You can keep track of who’s using the software if devices are having issues. Most it could do is wipe or freeze the device.
