Hey fellow PC users! I'm currently rocking a setup with 2 monitors and a TV, and I'm really interested in customizing each display to serve different purposes. I'd love to keep the TV in a minimalistic style, use one monitor for my main tasks, and dedicate the second monitor for general browsing and other stuff. I'm curious, is it possible to achieve this kind of setup? If so, which Linux distribution would best support it, particularly one that's beginner-friendly?

Honestly, the choice of Linux distro isn't that critical here. It’s more about the desktop environment. I’d definitely recommend KDE Plasma for maximum flexibility when it comes to setting up multiple monitors the way you want. Just make sure your hardware supports all those displays before diving in!
I've been using Ubuntu with LXQt and Xfce, and I have a pretty extensive setup with 5 monitors and various panels on them. You can customize the desktop experience largely independent of the distribution itself! Regardless of whether you use Ubuntu, Debian, or others, as long as you're on the right desktop environment, you should be able to set it up as you like.
You might want to look into KDE Plasma. It's really customizable for multiple displays, allowing you to set up different wallpapers and panels on each one. Just a heads up, though—the customization can be a bit complex if you're new to it, but it's worth it!

True! I had issues trying to use dual monitors on an older Nvidia card, so just double-check your setup before going ahead.
