I'm currently looking into the Gigabyte B550 Gaming X WiFi6 motherboard. My question is about RAM support: the official Gigabyte website mentions support for XMP profiles, but doesn't specify if it supports 3600MHz (O.C.). Can anyone clarify if this motherboard can handle 3600MHz RAM?

The official specs show that it supports up to 3200MHz natively. Anything beyond that is considered overclocking, which can vary in performance. That's also why they mention support for XMP profiles; it means they can work but results aren't assured.
You can always check more detailed specs on retail sites like Newegg as well. They sometimes include additional info and user reviews that give you a better idea! 🙂
Yes, this motherboard does support DDR4 memory. Normally, any DDR4-3600 RAM should work with a B550 motherboard like this one. Although keep in mind, using 3600MHz would be pushing it a bit since it may not be guaranteed to work flawlessly unless you adjust some settings.

That's true, but if that’s the case, why doesn’t Gigabyte just state that clearly? Other motherboards explicitly mention 3600(O.C.).
