Hi everyone! My trusty i7-4770k along with the ASRock motherboard has finally reached the end of its life, and I'm looking to either repair it or build a new machine. I currently have 32GB of DDR3 RAM, a 1660 Super graphics card, and a 700W Thermaltake power supply. I'm considering using these components in a new build. Here's what I'm looking at: an Intel Core Ultra 5 245K processor, an ARCTIC Alpine CPU cooler, and an ASRock B860M Pro-A motherboard. I also have plans for 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a suitable case. My aim is to keep costs low since I'm on a budget, and I'm using the PC mostly for gaming, video editing, and general browsing. Any thoughts on my approach? Also, the current market for PC parts seems pretty rough. I appreciate any tips to save some cash!

Hey! Instead of a low-profile cooler, I recommend going for something like a dual-fan tower cooler, especially since you’re doing CPU-intensive tasks like video editing. Your selected motherboard lacks WiFi, which might be worth considering if you need wireless access. Your RAM choice looks good! Aim for 1x16GB for better upgradability down the line. Also, don't forget about cooling—your current case doesn't come with fans. You can save a bit by reusing the 120mm fans from your last build!

Great point about the cooler! I didn't consider the CPU heat while editing. Also, smart thinking about keeping the fans from your old build; it saves money and you'll have better airflow.
