Hey everyone! I was installing a case fan and I accidentally dropped a screw somewhere onto my motherboard. I managed to find the screw but I'm worried about whether I might have damaged something. Should I be concerned?

Really, if the system was off, you probably don't need to worry. These screws are pretty lightweight and shouldn't cause any damage just by falling.

The screws aren’t heavy enough to harm anything. They just fall without causing issues. If you want peace of mind, flip the case upside down and give it a shake!

As long as your PC was turned off when it happened, you should be totally fine! Just double-check everything to be sure before powering it up again.

Nah, you’re around 99% safe! Just do a quick check around the case before turning it on. It should be all good.

Here’s a quick guide: 1. Turn your case upside down. 2. Listen for the screw—if you hear it, keep shaking until you don’t. 3. If you can't hear it anymore, you're all set! Just make sure it's not lodged anywhere.
