I'm really struggling with persistent performance issues on my PC, and I'm not sure what to do next. I keep running into texture rendering delays in games like Baldur's Gate 3, which I initially thought were bugs related to my weaker components. Now that I have 16GB DDR4 RAM, a Ryzen 7 5700x, and an AMD RX7600, the problems have just escalated. It's not just Baldur's Gate—I see it in Marvel Rivals too. My games keep freezing unexpectedly for a few seconds before resuming, they crash, and textures sometimes fail to load despite decent FPS. I've checked everything from my water-cooled setup to my relatively new motherboard, and nothing seems to get too hot. The only older parts in my PC are the SSDs. Are these issues normal for older SSDs, or is it more likely to be a different problem since freezing only happens during gaming? I've already tweaked the settings in Adrenalin, but should I consider swapping out an SSD? What could be going wrong? I'm ready to provide more specs if needed!

Given that you're experiencing freezing mainly during gaming, it could definitely be related to your SSDs. If they’re older, they might be slowing down under load. If you replace one of them, make sure to format it and see if that impacts your gaming experience. Swapping SSDs could lead to better performance but keep in mind you may need to reinstall games or use a larger SSD to hold everything necessary.
It might help to run a diagnostic tool like OCCT to look for any errors. You should also check if your power supply has enough headroom to support your components. One of them could be faulty and causing the issues you’re experiencing.
OCCT is a stress testing tool that can help you find hardware issues. It’s great for checking if everything in your system is working correctly.
How many RAM sticks do you have in your system? Sometimes using multiple sticks can improve performance, so it’s worth checking if you’re using one or two.
I have two RAM sticks installed!

What exactly is OCCT?
