I'm taking some online courses and signed up for a free tier account, but it's lapsed, so I'm getting some minor charges, which I can handle. I reached out to AWS on February 19th about extending the free tier service, but I haven't heard back from them yet. Today, I sent another request asking for a callback, and I provided my number in the callback section. Since then, I've been bombarded with spam calls—five so far—where the callers claim to be AWS support reps. It feels like my phone number is somehow getting leaked to a scam call center. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Just an FYI, free tier accounts do exist, but they can be a bit tricky. Some people believe they don't actually provide much support. It’s mainly for learning and not very hands-on, unfortunately.
So sorry to hear about your experience! If you have a case ID, it might help to share it privately with AWS support so they can investigate. They should be aware of this issue for the sake of their customers.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll send them my case ID and see if that helps.
I totally get your frustration! It’s suspicious when you receive spam calls right after asking for a callback. Maybe it’s just a coincidence? If they’re going directly to voicemail and saying things like "Hello? Can you hear me?" it does sound fishy. Just be careful with those calls!
Exactly! It feels like they’re just fishing for info. I’m definitely going to be cautious.

True, the free tier is mostly for experimentation. If you need real support, you might have to consider a paid plan.
