Exploring Handheld Devices with Linux and TUI Options

I've been using an iPhone for years, but as I reflect on my interests and priorities, I'm starting to lean towards using a TUI (Text User Interface). I'm curious about the types of handheld devices available that run Linux and could support TUI applications. In the meantime, is there anything I can add to my iPhone to practice or work on these interests?

Have you considered using a cheap Android device with Termux? It's a great way to get familiar with a Linux-like environment in a handheld format. Plus, it's pretty budget-friendly!

It sounds like you’re really reevaluating your priorities, which is awesome! I recommend checking out iSH, a free app available on the App Store. It’s a lightweight Linux shell that could give you a taste of a command-line experience on your iPhone, and it’s really fun to tinker with!

Absolutely, CLI and TUI are definitely the way to go! Even Microsoft has circled back to a command-line focus. There are plenty of handheld devices out there that are compatible with Linux, so you should have lots of options. If you want to get started right away, you might find some apps on your iPhone that allow for a command-line interface, which could be fun to explore!
