I just completed my parts selection for my very first PC build and I'm looking for some thoughts on it. This PC will mainly be used for gaming, focusing primarily on single-player titles, and I'm targeting high settings or better in most games. I'm not really into PvP shooters or esports, and I don't care about ray tracing or overclocking. The price I mentioned ($1683.75) is off since the GPU isn't accounted for—it should be around $2283.75 as I'll be purchasing everything from the US. Are my component choices solid based on these criteria? Here's the breakdown:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor ($419.95 @ Amazon)
- CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 5 CPU Cooler ($84.90 @ Amazon)
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 ATX AM5 Motherboard ($179.99 @ Amazon)
- Memory: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory ($379.99 @ Amazon)
- Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($199.99 @ Amazon)
- Video Card: Asus DUAL EVO OC GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB Video Card
- Case: Corsair FRAME 4000D ATX Mid Tower Case ($98.04 @ Amazon)
- Power Supply: Montech CENTURY II 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($82.90 @ Amazon)
- Monitor: Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ3A 27.0" 2560 x 1440 180 Hz Monitor ($179.00 @ Abt)
- Speakers: Logitech Z207 (Black) 10 mW Speakers ($58.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $1683.75 (Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available)
I'm purposely not including an OS right now as I'm considering switching to Linux, likely Ubuntu or Mint.

Your build looks solid for the kind of gaming you're aiming for! One thing I’d suggest is swapping out your cooler for the Thermalright Phantom Spirit. It offers similar performance but at a better price. Also, keep in mind that the RTX 4070 Super has been discontinued for a while—where do you plan on purchasing that? Just something to think about!
I really like the overall build! If you decide to go forward, it should definitely serve you well. However, I have a suggestion that might enhance your setup without breaking the bank. Check this alternative build out [here](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/phwV6B). If your budget allows, this could be worth the extra investment!

Cool, thanks! I'll check it out.
