Hey everyone! I've spent the last four years working in the BPO industry mainly as a technical support and customer service rep, but honestly, it's been draining me, so I quit about five months ago. Now, I'm unemployed and trying to figure out which path to take next in my career. I've dipped my toes into studying things like video editing, digital marketing, and Excel, but I'm just not sure that's the right direction for me. I've always had an interest in tech but never pursued it, so I'm giving it a shot now and have been studying HTML through FreeCodeCamp. I'm still undecided about whether I want to go into front-end or back-end development, and I really need advice on what kind of roadmap I should follow. Any tips or guidance would be super helpful! Also, if anyone knows about mentorship opportunities, I'm open to any ideas. I'm actively looking for a new job, but want to continue studying in my free time. Thanks!

I’m in a similar situation and also teaching myself coding. I just wanted to wish you luck on your journey! It can be tough but we’re in it together!
I recommend getting back to a similar job in your old industry while you continue learning development. The road to a tech career can be long and unpredictable, especially since you're just starting with HTML. Taking this risk with your savings could be risky. Focus on securing some income first, then learn on the side!
That's a great idea, actually. I’ll start looking for similar jobs while studying, thanks!
Try to think of a project idea that excites you! Once you get the basics of HTML/CSS/JS down, start building that project. You'll learn a lot more effectively and avoid getting stuck in tutorial hell.
I have a project in mind already! Thanks for the tip!
Thanks! Best of luck to us. We can do this!
