Frustrated with Ongoing GPS Issues on My iPhone

I've been struggling with a GPS and location problem on my iPhone for over a year now. Despite multiple attempts and support from Apple, the issue remains unresolved. My GPS often shows my location inaccurately, sometimes off by a quarter mile or more, and frequently freezes, lags, or jumps while I'm driving or using navigation apps like Apple Maps and Waze. I've worked with several Apple Advisors and Senior Advisors, following their recommendations such as resetting network settings, updating iOS, and even switching cellular providers, but nothing has worked. I was informed that engineering knows about similar issues, and a future update may address it; however, a year has passed with no improvement. I've had to activate and pay for another phone just for reliable GPS, which is unacceptable given how much we invest in Apple products. I've always trusted Apple for quality, and this has been a deeply frustrating experience. I'm reaching out to see if anyone has had similar issues and how they've navigated getting a resolution from Apple.

Are you using a VPN? Sometimes they can cause location issues, especially with GPS.

This might be a long shot, but some car window glass can interfere with GPS signals. I had a similar experience with my handheld GPS in a rental car once.

A senior advisor should have submitted a complaint for you. If you haven’t heard back from them or Customer Relations, I recommend sending a brief email to an executive at Apple, like Tim Cook, including your case numbers. That can put more eyes on your situation.

Thanks for the tip! After some persistence today, they submitted a complaint on my behalf, and I also emailed Cook. I really appreciate your help!

Have you tried recording your screen while you’re driving? It could help demonstrate the erratic GPS behavior to Apple.

Good idea! I’ll definitely do that.

What model iPhone are you using? Also, what version of iOS do you have? If you have AppleCare+, it might be worth taking your phone in—even one that looks really beaten up—to get a replacement.

Just to confirm, this problem happens across all navigation apps? Have you tried restoring your phone entirely and setting it up as new, without logging into your Apple ID?
