Getting BSOD After Updating NVIDIA Drivers—How Can I Fix This?

I just updated my NVIDIA drivers, and as soon as I try to open Steam, I encounter a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) with the message "DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION." I've read that I should roll back to an older driver version (552.44) since I currently have the most recent one (591.59). My system specs include Windows 11 Home, 32GB RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060. Should I just go back to the NVIDIA website to download the older version as suggested, or is there a chance that this advice might lead me astray? I'm really lost here and could use some guidance!

To troubleshoot the BSOD, you might want to start by checking for dump files, which can help diagnose the issue. If you can, try accessing Windows normally or booting into Safe Mode. Look for dump files in C:WindowsMinidump, zip that folder, and upload it to a file-sharing site. Understanding the dump files can really help with figuring out what caused the crash, especially if it's a recurring issue. Also, follow a guide on setting up small memory dumps if you need. It’s critical for a good analysis!

This kind of error might also come from outdated Wi-Fi drivers, surprisingly enough. So, checking for those and ensuring they’re updated could be beneficial, too. If you're not sure how to update your Wi-Fi drivers, I can definitely help explain the steps!

I wasn't aware you could update Wi-Fi drivers either! How exactly do I go about doing that?
