GPU Won’t Fit Due to CPU Cooler Blockage – What Can I Do?

I'm having trouble fitting my MSI GeForce 2070 SUPER GAMING X TRIO GPU into my B550M motherboard. The CPU cooler is blocking it, and there's a metal part on the side of the GPU preventing it from being installed properly. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

Could you share a picture? Typically, CPU coolers shouldn't be in the way, but sometimes motherboards have PCIe slots that are just too close to the CPU socket.

I had a similar issue with my B850 Gigabyte motherboard. I don't get why some motherboards place the PCIe slot right up against the CPU socket, especially when we'd like to use a bigger GPU!

What kind of cooler do you have? It's surprising that a card like the 2070 wouldn't fit. Usually, they aren't that wide, so there might be a solution here.
