I was troubleshooting a captive portal issue and decided to use neverssl.com as a test. When I went back to the site on my laptop, I noticed that it didn't flag a security warning anymore; it seemed like the site now has a certificate and is using HTTPS. Has anyone else experienced this, or am I just imagining things? Luckily, I was able to switch to httpforever.com for my tests. Here's a screenshot: [link](https://imgur.com/47IRQtU)

Yeah, it’s been like that for over three years now! The site still does what it was meant to do—help access captive portals.
The site has some JavaScript that attempts to redirect you to an HTTPS version, but the main TLD is still HTTP. It’s a bit complicated.
That’s definitely something new! A few weeks ago, I remember it still redirecting to the HTTP site.
The certificate was issued in August 2024. It's a bit strange when you read that the page won't have HTTPS features, yet here we are connecting via HTTPS!
Your browser might be auto-forwarding to HTTPS. If you're having trouble, try removing the "s" or add :80 at the end. They’ve actually used SSL for HTTPS since 2021.
I noticed the same thing! While troubleshooting this morning, I saw a subdomain of neverssl.com served over HTTPS, which really threw me off.
I had no clue they had changed that! I thought my browser was just acting weird since it was my first time seeing the HTTPS tag.
